Compact hybrid stepper motors from Astrosyn combine accuracy with power
 Motion control specialists Astrosyn International Technology have introduced two new ranges of mini hybrid stepper motors. Their compact size combined with high accuracy and power make them ideal for a wide range of applications where size is at a premium.The smallest of the size 14 models has a body length of only 20 mm, while delivering a holding torque of 5 N cm. The most powerful in the range provides an 11 N cm holding torque but is still only 34 mm long. There are two models in the size 11 range, offering holding torques of 7 and 9 N cm and weighing 140 g and 200 g respectively. "The compact size and high power of these units makes them ideal for applications such as robotics, laboratory sampling, medical instrumentation and 3G telephone mast antennas", said Simon Hunt, Astrosyn's technical sales director. "They are also suitable for controlling CCTV cameras in security applications." All the models offer high accuracy with a step angle of 1.8 deg. |
