Product Description

P860C Microstep Driver – Precision DSP Stepper Motor Control

The P860C Microstep Driver is a high-performance DSP stepper motor driver designed for precise, smooth, and quiet motion in CNC machines, robotics, 3D printers, and industrial automation. With advanced bipolar constant-current chopper circuits and digital current control technology, this stepper motor controller ensures accurate positioning, minimal vibration, and reliable performance for a wide range of stepper motors.

Ideal for CNC machines, 3D printers, robotics, and industrial automation, the P860C delivers consistent performance at high speeds while maintaining quiet operation. Its microstepping capability enables ultra-smooth rotation, reducing mechanical wear and improving motion accuracy.

Advanced DSP Stepper Motor Driver for High-Speed Motion

The P860C features a powerful DSP digital driver for stepper motors, providing rapid response and high-resolution motion control. It supports step, direction, and enable inputs with TTL compatibility and optically isolated signals for safe, reliable operation. The driver can handle pulse frequencies up to 200 kHz, allowing fast and precise control in demanding environments.

Adjustable Current & Microstepping for Smooth Motor Control

With adjustable drive current from 2.8A to 8.4A peak (2.0–6.0A working current) and 16 selectable microstep resolutions up to 51,200 steps per revolution, the P860C ensures smooth, accurate movement. Mixed-decay current control and automatic idle current reduction help prevent motor overheating and reduce energy consumption, optimizing performance and efficiency.

Quiet and Efficient Stepper Motor Operation

The inaudible chopping frequency allows silent operation, making it ideal for applications where noise reduction is important. Its high-precision design provides stable torque and minimal vibration, delivering superior motion quality for sensitive machinery and robotics systems.

Built-in Protection for Reliable Industrial Automation

This driver includes protection against over-temperature, over-voltage, and short circuits, ensuring safe, reliable performance in industrial environments. Its robust design reduces downtime and protects both the motor and driver from damage.

Compact and Durable Stepper Driver Design

Housed in a black coated aluminum casing with an integrated heatsink, the P860C is built for durability and thermal efficiency. Dimensions are 150 × 53 × 97.5 mm, with a weight of 600 g. Mounting options include free-standing installation or via mounting holes for flexibility in machine integration.

With its combination of high-performance DSP control, precise microstepping, and robust protection features, the P860C Microstep Driver is the ideal solution for stepper motor systems requiring quiet, efficient, and accurate motion control.

Guide to Stepper Motor Drive Selection

Q: How can I work out which stepper motor drive I need?
A: If you are new to these products we suggest that you start by reading our technical guides to stepper motors and stepper motor drives. These may be downloaded through the Technical section of this website. With this overview you will then need to review the motor and drive product ranges, e.g., unipolar or bipolar drive mode, drive voltage and current, size and style of drive etc.

Q: Are your products suitable for worldwide use?
A: In general, yes, as they are DC powered and designed to International Standards.

Q: Are the products compliant with EU safety standards and directives?
A: Yes, we apply all relevant European Directives to our designs, and where appropriate, carry out EMC testing in independent laboratories.

Q: Are the products compliant with the RoHS Directive?
A: Our materials and manufacturing processes were converted to RoHS-compliance several years ago. All of our current products are fully RoHS-compliant.

Q: Do you accept credit card payment for goods?
